Thanksgiving Dinner (The Final Thanksgiving Installment)

Thanksgiving dinner was the first sit-down meal we have ever served in our new dining room.  It was a small party - just the five of us and gordy's parents - but we hauled out the good china and silver and put the children's various Thanksgiving-themed art projects on the able as a centerpiece.

Josie took some photos of her own centerpiece creation:

Josie took some additional photos of the action in the kitchen.  Here is Grandma:

Here is Gordy, refusing to pose for yet another picture:

The rest of the photos are mine.  I used a light-scoop on my flash, but my pictures still came out dark and unfocused.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to get better indoor photos, please leave me a comment.

Here is Henry, pretending to drink wine, while Josie wipes imaginary food off her chin:

Here is Georgia, wondering why her siblings are so very weird:

I took a few group shots to remember the dinner:

We did a little cheating this year.  The turkey was pre-cooked by Whole Foods, and we bought their gravy and stuffing.  Gordy's mom made her own stuffing and mash-potatoes, and I made green beans, a salad and a chocolate cake.  Regardless of its origin, the food was delicious.

After dinner, we had some friends over for dessert and entertainment.  It was a perfect Thanksgiving.

Gordy's father does not enjoy being photographed, does he?
