The Maine Soccer Tournament

With all the excitement of the recorder case and the Pumpkin Festival, I forgot to post pictures from Georgia's soccer tournament -- the actual reason we were in Maine in the first place.

Georgia and I had to get up at the un-Godly hour of 4:50am, to make it Sanford, Maine in time for the first game, Saturday Morning.  Waking up early does not come easily to either one of us, but we did enjoy watching the sun rise while we were in the car.

It was a gorgeous weekend.  It started out cold both mornings, but heated up quickly to a beautiful 80 degrees.  The sun was out and the girls won both of their Saturday morning games with very little difficulty.

After the Saturday games were over, we headed North/East to Granny & Grandfather's house and The Pumpkin Festival.  We had to get up early the next morning again, to make it back to the fields in time for the last two games of the tournament.  This time, Georgia played goalie for part of a game.

Georgia likes to play goalie, now - even though it involves no running.

Her team won the next two games as well.

It was a very successful tournament!
