Skyline Playground

On the Friday before Easter, we went to Skyline Playground.  We hadn't been there in years.

Skyline has two fabulous slides cut into the hill and Henry, Georgia and especially Josie were keen to give them a try:

The girls rode the slide right away, but Henry chose to warm up with a little swinging:

There is a lot of playground equipment at Skyline Park and the Elliot children tried it all.

And when they got tired of swinging, climbing and sliding, they ventured to the top of the hilly field to do some rolling:

Going to a playground with older children is so very different from going with young children.

Gordy and I were able to sit on the side and have a conversation.  Not too many years ago, we would have been racing after three little ones, trying to keep the baby off of the high play-structure while ensuring that the other two children didn't hurt themselves or cut another child in line.

Bringing the children to a playground used to be a full-contact excursion.

Now, it is a leisurely treat from our busy schedules and from driving all over the countryside for sporting events.

We must go to the playground more often!

My girls were on Spring Break this week and I took my girls to a playground on Monday. We hadn't done that in a while either and they had a blast!
