Josie turned nine the other day. Happy Birthday, Josie!
She started her birthday the way that we always do here in Elliotland - an early morningwake-up call and presents opened in front of a sleepy audience.
This year's audience included her father, since Josie's birthday conveniently fell on a weekend and on a day without a super-early hockey game.
Georgia also joined in as a witness....
but sadly, Henry did not. The lack of that early-morning hockey game meant that Henry could get a rare morning to sleep in and that was what he was doing while Josie was gleefully opening her gifts.
And boy did Josie get some great gifts. She got a Lego Friends set from Grandma and Grandpa:
She opened many sweet cards from relatives:
She got a ring from Elsie:
And a sparkly tote from The Southerns:
She also got a hockey charm for her charm bracelet from Granny and Grandfather, a beautiful necklace from Our Philly Family and some great hairbands, a picture frame and a photo album from Zach & Ned:
Which was pretty appropriate considering that Gordy and I gave her a polaroid camera:
Josie had a busy birthday - she had both a soccer game and a hockey game, but there was time in between to watch the clock and witness the exact moment that she was born.
Here is a photo of Josephine, still eight years old at 11:32am:
And here is Josephine, a whole year older at at 11:33am:
I can see the difference, can't you?
